Achieve FCA Authorisation

FCA Authorisation

If you are planning on carrying out FCA regulated activities, you will need to be authorised by the FCA before you can carry out these activities.    You will also need to show to the FCA that you are “ready, willing and organised” to become FCA authorised.

Becoming authorised by the FCA can be complex and difficult especially if you are not used to the FCA’s technical terms and do not have the compliance processes to support your business.

Depending on the activities that you wish to carry out, you will need to complete a number of forms which includes seeking additional approval for the owners of the business (known as Approved Persons).

Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by a case officer who will then typically ask you a number of specific questions which you will need to respond to in a short time frame (normally 5 - 10 days).   The FCA will take up to 6 months to reach a decision whether or not to approve you after you have addressed all the FCA’s queries.

About Us

We can help you to become authorised by the FCA and we are members of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants (APPC).  We know what the FCA wants and we will help you to become FCA authorised with the minimum of fuss.  We have helped a broad range of firms including lenders, motor finance dealers, credit brokers, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers and payment service providers.

Why Choose us?

We can provide you with a one stop shop.  We will explain the full authorisation process to you at the beginning - there are no surprises.

Our typical process involves:

  • Understanding your business and clarifying the FCA permissions you will need - we will discuss your business idea with you and will help you to determine the FCA permissions that you will need to conduct your business.  We will advise you on the key elements that you will need to have in place such as finances, resourcing and compliance controls.  If you wish to proceed we will provide you with a full written quote.

  • Completing the FCA application for you, we will compile the application and draft the various forms such as creating the regulatory business plan for you.

  • Providing compliance and procedures – we will provide you with the relevant compliance policies and procedures you may require to support the FCA application.

  • Supporting you with the FCA queries - we will help you to answer the FCA’s questions and queries arising from the application.

Our Pricing

We do not have any hidden fees or charges.  A detailed quote will be provided to you at the outset.   Full application prices start from as little as £950 + VAT.
